Volunteer Tourism is travel which includes volunteering for a charitable cause. Volunteer vacations vary widely in scope, from low-skill work cleaning up local wildlife areas to providing high-skill medical aid in a foreign country. A rejection of mass-tourism and demand for more authentic and meaningful forms of travel has resulted in a surge in demand for short-term volunteer opportunities for individuals who are unable to commit long-term but wish to 'give something back' during their leisure time.

For international students and professionals who want to take up volunteer tourism, it provide them with opportunities to live and work amongst people from societies and cultures very different to their own has the potential to increase cultural understanding, social awareness and sense of global responsibility. Through volunteer tourism, the local community benefits directly by way of increased manpower and direct financial support through placements and indirect benefits include increased local employment and improved facilities like schools, parks and daily activities.

Le Green Hotels & Resorts are looking for people (students and professionals) with all sorts of skills, interests and enthusiasm to volunteer with us. The duration varies from 2 weeks up to 6 months. The most popular types of projects are education and training of poor children from villages and tribal areas. Other types of projects include educating and training of farmers and local people for eco friendly farming methods, teaching them a skill, construction of eco buildings and energy conservation methods in their daily life.

If you are between the ages of 20 - 35, wish to work any of the Le Green social projects as a volunteer for a minimum of 2-6 months, kindly send your resume and a photograph to . Experience in the hospitality industry is a bonus but not mandatory.


An internship is a system of on-the-job training for white collar and professional careers. Internships for professional careers are similar to apprenticeships for trade and vocational jobs. Interns can be typically college or university students and they can also be high school students or post-graduate adults. An internship consists of an exchange of services for experience between the student and his or her employer. Students can also use an internship to determine if they have an interest in a particular career, create a network of contacts, or gain school credit.

  • Students must be enrolled in an accredited college or university with an undergraduate or graduate program
  • A true love for nature, even muddy , slimy or slithering nature
  • An appreciation for travel real travel not just tourist traps and spring break crowds
  • Excellent conversational and interpersonal skills and a high energy level
  • Fluent in English and good writing skills
  • Ability to work independently with remote supervision
  • Physical fitness level appropriate to hike uneven terrains and participate in outdoor activities
  • Experience in operating a digital camera, video Camera
  • Comprehensive ability and experience in using social networking sites and blogging platforms
  • Availability to live any part of India for a minimum of 4 8 weeks.
  • A minimum of 20 years of age
  • Students' major must be in a related field of the internship
  • Prior experience or related course work is a bonus but not mandatory.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to pursue a career in the hospitality industry
